
ADM Held Groundbreaking Ceremony for its Pinghu Project

On 8th November 2019, world’s agricultural and food processor giant Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) held a ground breaking ceremony for the company’s new production plant in Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone, Zhejiang province. Deputy Mayor Mr. Qunwei Chen together with other governmental officials laid the cornerstone of the new production site. Century 3 provided engineering, procurement, construction management services to ADM’s Pinghu project since December, 2018 and will continuously deliver integrated solutions to our client.
With a total investment of 100 million US dollars, the Phase I and Phase II of ADM’s Pinghu project occupies an area of about 70 acres. The production site will be engaged in the R&D, production and processing of flavors, fragrances, oils, plant extracts and food additives.
The Pinghu manufacturing site, aimed to be built into a benchmark project in Pinghu Development Zone, is strategically important for ADM as it will witness the shift of company’s focus from agriculture to food processing with the advanced technology through acquisition of a German company.
