Dr. Man-Chung Tang, Chairman of the Board of T. Y. Lin International and his team visited Century 3 on 13th August. Mr. Rong He, CEO of Century 3, and Mr. Bo Tan, Vice President of Century 3, and Mr. Frank Li, Dr. Tang’s former employee who is now Century 3’s Vice President, attended the meeting to introduce Century 3’s company development and advanced management tools deployed during project execution.
Being a world authority on cable-stayed bridges, Dr. Man-Chung Tang was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 1995 and elected as a Foreign Member to the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2000. His engagement in over 100 bridges worldwide, many of which are located in China, earned him the reputation as “The Sun Never Sets on a Man-Chung Tang Bridge”. Dr. Tang was named by Engineering News Record, which is dubbed as bible of the construction industry, as one of "The 125 top people in the industry in the last 125 years”.
Not only does Dr. Tang build bridges that can be seen and touched, he also encourages people to build bridges between men and cultures. He has always been keen on exchanging innovative ideas with his Chinese peers and has been dedicated to the development of China's bridge construction. Dr. Tang mentioned that he was hoping for more cooperation with Century 3 in potential projects in the future to bring more engineering talents and advanced design concepts and technologies to China's engineering industry.
