Century 3 Celebrates Successful Completion of IKEA Centres Xi’an Project

On April 18, 2024, Century 3 was honored to join in the grand opening ceremony and celebrate the successful completion of the highly anticipated IKEA Centres Xi’an Project. Serving as the EPCM service provider for the project, Century 3 achieved an outstanding record of 8,900,000 safe hours and met the Grand Opening targeted date on schedule. The project was recognized with multiple provincial and municipal awards for excellence in safety and quality as well.
The newly-opened shopping center is the 9th Livat meeting place in China and the first in northwest region. Occupying a site area of approximately 205 mu, the store consists of two underground levels and three plus partial four above-ground levels, attracting over 400 shops. The project also features a 20,000-square-meter green space with environmentally friendly design features like geothermal and air-source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging stations, and rooftop solar panels, ensuring a low-carbon footprint.
Throughout the project lifecycle, Century 3 demonstrated unwavering dedication to ensure the success of the project, while maintaining high quality standards and adhering to the project schedule. Century 3 team exhibited remarkable flexibility in coordinating with different shareholders and initiative in effectively resolving various challenges, including those arising from archaeological exploration, Covid-19 pandemic, and city control requirements during international conferences and national sports game. These relentless efforts led to an extraordinary safety record of 8,900,000 safe hours, earning Century 3 the prestigious International Safety Management Gold Award, Construction Quality Structural Engineering Award at both provincial level and municipal level, and high recognition from the IKEA team.
