Century 3 Awarded by J&J for Excellent Safety Performance in Ethicon Factory Project

On January 23, 2019, Century 3 attended the opening ceremony of Johnson & Johnson’s new Ethicon medical factory in Suzhou Industrial Park. Century 3’s EHS Director – Mr. Jeff Wang received the honor as Safety MVP for setting a new record in Johnson & Johnson’s facility construction history with 1.4 million safe hours. Century 3 provided project management and general contracting services to this 278,000-square-meter project. The new medical facility has brought two world-class production lines of minimally invasive and open surgical solutions to China, which are the first of its kind built outside the United States.
Century 3 has brought together a combination of state-of-the-art management tools to Johnson & Johnson new Ethicon factory project. The utilization of advanced cloud technology and image processing technology helps us to manage and supervise the project throughout each phase. EHS management has always been our primary concern during the construction. The Ethicon factory has followed the international environmental safety and health (EHS) standards from pre-planning phase. To fulfill this safety goal, Century 3 used i-Safety App, a self-developed centralized intelligent safety management platform, and Medical Call System, an emergency rescue system that ensures quick response to injuries. As a result of our consistent effort in EHS management, the record-breaking 1.4 million safe-hour has distinguished the Ethicon factory project as the best EHS performer in Johnson & Johnson’s plant construction history worldwide.
